Dr. Barad or Aesthetic Skin & Laser Center’s fully licensed aestheticians draw blood from your arm. This tube of your blood is then placed in a special centrifuge, which spins the blood to produce platelet-rich plasma. A powerful numbing cream is applied to the vaginal area, and once the area is adequately numbed, for about 30 minutes, Lidocaine is also strategically injected to ensure good numbing of the area to be treated. The PRP is then carefully injected, providing a pain-free experience.

Dr. Barad has been fully certified by the Cellular Medicine Association, the licensing body for this procedure. The O-Shot takes approximately 60 minutes to perform

Possible side effects are only those typical to any type of injection, like minor bleeding or bruising at the injection site, and rarely, infection.

Immediately after treatment, you are free to drive yourself and resume your daily activities. Benefits are typically noticed within days of the treatment but may take several months. We recommend that sexual activity be resumed on the day of the procedure, as this helps circulate the growth factors to the desired tissues.

If there is minimal improvement after the first O-shot, another treatment at 1 month is recommended. Rarely, some women require a series of monthly O-shots to get to their desired endpoint.
