How Renuva works
Renuva is an “allograft”, which means it is a specially processed product derived from human donors rather than synthetic or chemical fillers. Donor skin is tested, screened, and sterilized according to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s requirements. It is non-reactive and biocompatible.
Renuva contains an extracellular matrix with the same collagen, growth factors, and proteins as your own tissue. Once injected, it elicits adipogenesis (new fat creation) and angiogenesis (new blood vessel creation) which support the surrounding tissue. After injection, these new blood vessels and fat cells result in volume restoration, which helps you look natural, youthful, and healthy.
Before its release in the cosmetic market, Renuva was used in reconstructive surgery, such as breast, burn and pediatric surgeries. It is 100% natural and results are generated by and supported by your body.
Benefits of Renuva
- Non-invasive
- Safe
- Quick and easy procedure with no downtime
- Long-lasting results as it regenerates your own tissue
- Totally personalized
- Can be used almost anywhere on the face and body
What is Renuva used for
- Volume and hollows due to aging or genetics
- Fine facial lines and wrinkles
- Dimples caused by cellulite
- Scarring from acne or surgeries
- Liposuction divots
The treated area will look better immediately, but volume may decrease initially as the anesthetic in the product is absorbed. Within 2 weeks, increasing volumization and plumping is noted, and by three months, you will achieve your full, long-lasting results. If there is significant volume loss, re-treatment monthly may be necessary for a series of up to three sessions to achieve optimal results.
Side-Effects
After the procedure, some mild redness and swelling may occur, which generally resolves within one to two days.
